Medium is an art initiative dedicated to exposing new artists and fostering an open creative community.
Through nomadic exhibitions, an interactive website and provocative publications, Medium seeks to create a harmony between artist and art-lover and to fill a void in the otherwise discordant and difficult contemporary art world.

how it works
If you’re a NYC-based student artist or recent alumni, Send us your work. We accept any medium – Illustrations, paintings, sculpture, furniture, installations, films- you name it. big or small.
Selected artists’ work will be exhibited far and wide: at our gallery events, in our art publications, and featured on this website.

why
Everyone should have the right to do what they love for a living, but the immediate obstacles an artist faces after graduation often deter them from pursuing a career in the arts. A loss of artists is a loss to society as a whole.
