Medium Terms and Conditions
In order to protect your rights as an Artist and explain our intentions, please read the following terms and conditions agreement.
Submission, License and Warranty
The Artist understands that he or she is submitting an entry or entries to Medium for inclusion in a group exhibit, a printed event catalogue/magazine, and an online gallery. The Artist certifies that he or she is the author or creator of all materials that he or she submits to Medium. The Artist represents and warrants that by accepting the invitation to exhibit, he or she is licensing the work to Medium and is granting the rights granted by this agreement, and that such license will not infringe the rights of any third party. The Artist hereby grants Medium a non-exclusive license to edit, copy, distribute and publish text and/or image submissions in any media form now known or later invented, worldwide and in perpetuity.
Commission
All revenue from sales will be split on a 50/50 basis, so all works should be priced accordingly. Medium is available for pricing recommendations.
Insurance
Medium does not provide insurance for works submitted. However, some exhibition venues include protective properties in the cost of the lease. Medium will keep the Artist updated regarding the status of insurance availability.
Transportation of Work
The Artist is responsible for the cost and timeliness of the delivery of all exhibited works. Medium members are available for aiding the physical burden of delivery.
Community
Medium harbors a vision of collaborative creativity and hopes that all participating artists will share it. Medium will sponsor periodic events supplementing and promoting the spotlight exhibitions and all artists are encouraged to contribute. Details specific to each event will be provided accordingly, in a timely fashion.
Privacy
Medium will not use or sell any contact information to anyone. Artist assumes full responsibility for anything he or she submits.
Disclaimer
Medium has the right to refuse any submission that it believes does not fit within the guidelines or theme of its content or purpose. Medium reserves the exclusive option to all submitted materials chosen for exhibition for up to one year. This option is not contingent to works authored and/or created by the Artist that have not been selected for exhibition. Medium reserves the right to change these terms and conditions at any time. The Artist will be notified of such changes. By submitting to Medium, the Artist agrees in advance to accept any changes. This agreement and any disputes arising out of or related to it shall be governed by and construed and enforced in accordance with the laws of the State of New York.
The Artist accepts, without limitation or qualification, all of the terms and conditions in this terms and conditions agreement. He or she hereby attests that all information submitted to Medium, at any time, is true and correct.
