School: NYU
Media: oils, encaustic
Why I rock:
Primarily a map painter…
Some of these are painted in encaustic (hot wax mixed with oils).
My work is about the map as a metaphor and abstract representation of space. Inspirations: Tara Donovan, Jean Baudrillard, Gaston Bachelard, Robert Smithson, Richard Tuttle, Agnes Martin, Joseph Cornell
PS. These paintings are very LARGE.
