Upcoming Projects
1. ArtParties: One thing that’s unique about Medium, is that we focus on collaboration. We developed the idea of an “ArtParty” based loosely on the “Happenings” of the 60’s-80’s where artists and performers came together. With our contract with Materials for the Arts, we can provide our artists some materials and give them space and inspiration to create and learn from eachother, building lasting relationships.
2. Event: Our events focus on exhibiting the artists and engaging the audience. Day time hours will offer quiet review of the artwork while the evening will create a different atmosphere. Group-artwork sculpture that encourages audience participation, artfully-crafted food that is as beautiful as it is delicious, art-book library, live DJ sets and more make Medium a must-see exhibit.
3. Publications: Medium Ink is our event magazine/catalogue that will give our artists formal publication exposure. It offers exhibiting artist features, honorable mentions, exclusive interviews and reviews of New York art happenings. Sell Out: An Artists Guide to Business is a composite of advisory writings from art scene-veterans in any form they wish: narrative, haiku, or illustration.
Ongoing Projects
1. Website: Regular maintenance of our online presence is very important to us as we share upcoming New York art events, show our most-recent submissions and sell exhibited artwork.
2. Artist Recruitment: We have already begun recruiting for our next event. Recruiting materials, interviews with art professors and studio visits ensure that we get artists of the highest-quality.
3. Marketing: Medium prints, designs and sends flyers, press kits, media kits and posters to market our events and promote our artsits.
